Joe Wallace, AIA, joins OPN Minneapolis leadership team

OPN Architects is pleased to announce the promotion of Joe Wallace, AIA, to our leadership team as an Associate Principal. Joe will co-lead the Minneapolis studio alongside Tate Walker.

Like many architects, his journey to the profession started with LEGOs. His penchant for design was fueled in high school through CAD and 3D modeling classes. The Nebraska native attended University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he earned a masters in architecture in 2012.

Joe joined OPN immediately after graduation and has had extensive experience working with vast range of clients and project types, both big and small.  Joe is passionate about sustainable design and explores these concepts while leading project design teams and consultants towards thoughtful and award-winning design solutions.

Early in his career, Joe had the unique opportunity to work alongside and collaborate with Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris on the design of the Krause Gateway Center in downtown Des Moines.

Outside of work, Joe enjoys being outdoors, spending time on the bike or kayak in several area rivers, parks, and trails. Joe has a passion for giving back, being involved with many non-profits in the community.
