Joseph Feldmann joins OPN leadership as Associate Principal

OPN Architects is pleased to announce the promotion of Joseph Feldmann, AIA, to a new leadership role as Associate Principal.

Joe, who started at OPN in 2002 as a college intern, has established himself as a leader in our firm, within the industry, and throughout the central Iowa and state business community. A  2004 Iowa State University  graduate, Joe’s approach to design is informed, holistic, and sustainable, regardless of project size and complexity.

I love finding solutions to the issues and concerns of our generation, but being cognizant of our impact on future generations. I want to leave this place better than we found it. The best thing about our industry is our ability to give back to our communities in ways that help shape their futures for decades to come. We have the responsibility to impact the lives of the users of the built environments we create in meaningful and positive ways. We have an impact.

For two decades, Joe has been consistent and persistent in the pursuit of excellent design and community service. He led the design of the new Johnston City Hall at the center of the new Johnston Town Center. This new heart of Johnston is targeted to be OPN’s first Net Zero building.  Joe was also an integral part of the team for the Krause Gateway Center , the 160,000 square foot corporate headquarters designed in collaboration with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop.

“Joe brings a broad spectrum of expertise to every project he touches. From design through construction, his insight and passion carry each and every building to success.” – Danielle Hermann, Principal
