Vibrant Music Hall at the Keetown Loop is a new two-story entertainment venue for live music totaling approximately 61,000 gross square feet, located within a 40-acre entertainment district in Waukee, Iowa.

Vibrant is at the heart of the development, a place to gather and connect for concert goers and district visitors alike. The KeeTown Loop will be the future mixed use and entertainment district, where Vibrant boasts as its centerpiece a 3,500-seat live entertainment venue operated by Live Nation.  The 70-by-80-foot stage can be adjusted to accommodate a large band or a single-person act. The event space is wider than it is long, providing concertgoers the ability to get close to performers, creating a more intimate entertainment experience. The venue also includes seven bars: three on the main level, two on the second level, one at the main entrance, and one in the Red Room, a VIP lounge which also offers a full menu.

The design is a reflection of the client’s desire to be a good neighbor by minimizing sound bleed to the surrounding neighborhood, paired with a design that seeks to create impact, drama, contrast and presence, especially at night. The entire project was a catalyst for the rest of the development, as well as the area.

The “crown jewel” of KeeTown, Vibrant embraces a dynamic architectural style, one that will influence the rest of the development at the district. An outdoor plaza immediately adjacent to the building provides an opportunity for flexible outdoor programming that will benefit Waukee residents and visitors all year round. Interior spaces are also extended outdoors to take full advantage of the amenities, such as the south-facing balcony with vistas and views created by its location on a sloping site, that create a “see and be seen” moment that is unique to the area.
