The new 52,763-square-foot one-story kindergarten through second grade elementary school building also supports a two-section pre-K, behavior classrooms, support classrooms, collaboration spaces, a gymnasium, cafeteria with serving kitchen, library, restrooms, administrative offices, support spaces, and mechanical platform.
The site integrates the school into the park across the creek to draw the outside space into the building. The four-section grade classrooms are arranged around a center space of support classrooms and collaboration spaces to incorporate a house concept. The windows from the classroom into these spaces are for monitoring purposes but also to share views.

The academic wings are separated from the public spaces so that the building can function as a community center with access the gym, the library and the cafeteria / common space after hours. The kindergarten house is also a ICC-500 rated storm shelter. Materials provide a serene and biophilic pallet to support behavior and learning outcomes.
