Oregon Youth Center
A new Oregon Youth Center building, made possible by an $800,000 donation by an anonymous donor, replaces the existing aging facility, which was once an EMS garage. The youth center provides an after-school program and a summer drop-in program for grades five through nine.
With high ceilings and an open floor plan, the new 5,165-square-foot building will include a light-filled lounge with soft seating a pool table and air hockey, a basketball half-court basketball inside and outside, a computer lab/conference room and a warming kitchen.
Designed by OPN Architects, and built by Supreme Structures, whose President is a member of the Oregon Community Resource Network Board, the project broke ground in October 2018.
βIt is such a beautiful space. (OPN) did a great job of looking at our wish list and making sure that the important pieces are in there.β
