A 48-unit condominium development is in the works just west of the historic Brucemore mansion in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on the former site of the First Avenue Professional Building.

The current plan calls for two 24-unit buildings with underground parking with additional surface parking at the rear. The two buildings will share a 6,000 square foot amenity area featuring a pool, workout facility, and fire pit. The development’s design blends with the character of the First Avenue East neighborhood.

Construction for the first 24-unit building is scheduled for Spring 2022, with the second building commencing in 2023. Another office building immediately west of the project site could also be incorporated into the project’s final design.
