Healthcare Project Architect

OPN Architects is an award-winning architectural firm with multiple studios serving the greater Midwest. Our open studio environment nurtures design excellence and rewards professional growth. We are currently seeking an individual with an extensive Healthcare knowledge for our established and growing Healthcare Market.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Project Architect with a minimum of 10 years in the field of architecture, specializing in healthcare design. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare facility planning, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based design principles. This role will be instrumental in leading projects from concept through construction, ensuring seamless coordination between clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Strong knowledge of healthcare codes, regulations and best practices is required. Experience with sustainable and evidence-based design strategies is a plus.

Business Support Specialist

This position will assist both the Controller and Human Resource Director. Areas of focus will include coordination of recruiting efforts, HRIS administration, assisting with research and special projects, accounts payable and related payment processing, accounts receivable, and other general accounting processes.

The ideal candidate shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources administration and/or accounting. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, exhibit attention to detail, and be organized. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required. An Associate’s degree is preferred, but not required.

Historic Specialist

OPN Architects is an award-winning architectural firm with multiple studios serving the greater Midwest. Our open studio environment nurtures design excellence and rewards professional growth. We are currently seeking an individual with extensive Historic preservation and rehabilitation knowledge for our established and growing Historic market segment.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Historic Specialist with a minimum of 6 years in the field of architecture, with a focus on historic preservation. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in the assessment and planning of historic projects and specialize in the restoration and rehabilitation of historically significant buildings. Experience should include conducting in-depth research to understand the history and significance of historic structures, including conducting historic building assessments, evaluating current conditions of historic buildings, and developing comprehensive preservation and restoration plans. This role will be responsible for coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, including oversight of schedule, budget, and scope of work. Oversight of a project team and working on multiple projects at one time are also possible.

An Architectural license is desired, but those with progress made towards licensure will be considered if they have extensive knowledge of architectural history, historic building materials, preservation policies and techniques, and funding sources.

Our open studio environment and collaborative approach to architecture requires that you work well with others and consistently build strong relationships with teammates and clients. The right person for our studio will have a balanced skill set including design, building technologies, Revit and 3D-modeling experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on projects from design through construction, communicate effectively, and work independently and within a team.
