Healthcare Project Architect

OPN Architects is an award-winning architectural firm with multiple studios serving the greater Midwest. Our open studio environment nurtures design excellence and rewards professional growth. We are currently seeking an individual with an extensive Healthcare knowledge for our established and growing Healthcare Market.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Project Architect with a minimum of 10 years in the field of architecture, specializing in healthcare design. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare facility planning, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based design principles. This role will be instrumental in leading projects from concept through construction, ensuring seamless coordination between clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Strong knowledge of healthcare codes, regulations and best practices is required. Experience with sustainable and evidence-based design strategies is a plus.

Business Support Specialist

This position will assist both the Controller and Human Resource Director. Areas of focus will include coordination of recruiting efforts, HRIS administration, assisting with research and special projects, accounts payable and related payment processing, accounts receivable, and other general accounting processes.

The ideal candidate shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources administration and/or accounting. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, exhibit attention to detail, and be organized. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required. An Associate’s degree is preferred, but not required.

BIM Specialist

OPN Architects is an award-winning architectural firm with multiple studios serving the greater Midwest. Our open studio environment nurtures design excellence and rewards professional growth. We are currently seeking a BIM Specialist to join our dynamic team in one of our studios – Cedar Rapids, IA, Des Moines, IA, Iowa City, IA, Madison, WI, or Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in Applied Science with a focus in Architectural Technology, or a Bachelors degree in Architecture and be proficient in Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Our studio environment and collaborative approach to architecture and design requires that you work well with others and consistently build strong relationships with teammates and clients. The right person for our studio is well organized and enjoys problem solving to support project teams and advance architectural projects. We are seeking an individual with a strong knowledge of BIM concepts and a balanced skill set including the ability to understand and create parametric families, understand and create Dynamo scripts, and, understand and utilize shared parameters in Revit. A working knowledge of Rhino + Grasshopper, Navisworks, and content management platforms such as Avail are beneficial. Experience in integrating BIM with project delivery, drawing sets, standardization, integration; and experience with AR/VR and real-time rendering technologies preferred. To be successful, this individual must be a self-starter, enjoy teaching and mentoring others, promote collaborative work, possess an affinity for exploring new and emerging technologies, and be an engaged problem solver.
