Peter Miller

An Ames local and Iowa State grad, Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s in architecture. Peter’s passion for architecture lies in the opportunities to collaborate on projects that require a combination of creativity, social and cultural awareness, and technical problem solving. He enjoys architecture because it is a field where no two days will be entirely the same, with no shortage of new and interesting things to learn or experience.

Q: What inspires your work?

A: Learning from the social and physical processes that create a sense of place and time.

Q: What’s your favorite landmark and why?

A: Erwin Wurm’s “Gurken” in Salzburg, Austria because there’s something beautiful and funny about happening upon these ordinary objects as sculptures in the middle of an old urban context.
