David Selk

David grew up in Keystone, Iowa, and went on to attend the University of Northern Iowa. Shortly after graduation, he joined OPN as a Job Captain, where he worked for 10 years. He joins us again now with more than 25 years of experience in the industry.

It’s no surprise David’s favorite project phases are construction documents through construction. He appreciates how impactful our industry is in improving the lives of others. David states well, “[The built environment] can allow individuals to do what they were put on this earth to do, and foster the ability to do it well.” And this betterment is what he finds most inspiring.

Outside of work, David can be found spending time with his wife, Diane, and two kids, Mira and Henry. He enjoys being out in nature, as his favorite landmarks are some of the national parks.
