Chandana Rao

Chandana is originally from India, but has recently lived in Ann Arbor to pursue her Master of Architecture at the University of Michigan. Her graduate thesis was centered around using machine learning and AI to create an instant plan generation tool to design houses in contested areas and different geographic landscapes. Always finding new inspiration, Chandana is intrigued by how various fields of design intersect. However, she is particularly interested in the intersection of architecture and technology, especially with the pulse of innovation today.

Because she just can’t get enough of design, Chandana enjoys the 99% invisible podcast. A design podcast that explores all the unknown facets of design and architecture that shape everyday life.
