Shayla Tran

A recent Bachelor of Architecture graduate from Ball State, Shayla is an Indiana native formerly from Fort Wayne. She chose the architecture industry for the ability to make an impact on society at large, along with a positive influence on her surrounding community. And with that, to pursue the belief that good design lifts people up. By providing custom spaces that give us comfort, good health, and safety, architecture shapes civilization. She states, “Architecture has given me a goal to design a great environment for the spaces that people inhabit.”

Q: What inspires your work?

A:  It’s the idea that something I contributed in design will be lived in and experienced by other people. The spaces we inhabit can profoundly affect the way we live our lives, and being able to change that for the better really excites me.

Q:  If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A: I am a sucker for Crab Rangoons.
