Welcome to the team!

Parisa Afshari

Parisa Afshari, OPN Madison

Originally from Iran, Parisa called Ohio home while getting her degree at Kent State University. Her master’s thesis included designing a trauma-informed pediatric behavioral health facility with nature-inspired therapy pods and sensory-friendly environments. Parisa is inspired by potential. Architecture can provide a designed safe space, a healing environment that can support patients and caregivers. She emphasizes that fostering comfort, dignity and hope are important factors of her designs.

Justin Davis

Justin Davis, OPN Des Moines

Originally from Adel, Iowa, Justin graduated from Iowa State University with his Bachelor of Architecture in 2014. After spending time in the New England area and abroad, Justin is returning to his roots in Iowa. While out East, Justin was member of MASS Design Group’s team advocating to solve global issues through the power of design and architecture. He has also participated in multiple design hackathons. While abroad, Justin volunteered for a chapel restoration in Wales, along with extensive Photogrammetry work in Istanbul. Led by the mantra “the one who clears the path determines its direction,” Justin is passionate about the tools and knowledge that expand our creativity. He enjoys the blend of science, artistry, and storytelling in the industry to create projects with insight and emotional reason.

Margo Duffy

Margo Duffy, OPN Madison

Margo holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture degree from UW-Madison. Before school, she had previously ventured from Canada to Minnesota then to Wisconsin, where she now resides with her husband and two teenage sons. Her work in the area has included projects for pillars of the Madison community such as the Goodman Community Center and the Madison Metro School District. Through every challenge, focused on commitment and a wholehearted effort throughout, she reminds herself during projects, “Do or do not. There is no try.”

Ethan Pulvermacher

Ethan Pulvermacher, OPN Iowa City

An Illinois native, Ethan grew up alongside his three siblings in Naperville, Illinois, and attended the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. After finding his passion in architecture, he received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the IIT in the spring of 2025. For three years while at IIT, Ethan worked in a wood and metals shop on campus and interned at OPN for the summer of 2024.

Malcolm Brom

Malcolm Brom, OPN Minneapolis

Malcolm’s interest in architecture was first sparked, like many people, by Legos. Being from Grand Rapids, when it came time to pursue higher education, Malcolm went to the University of Michigan for his bachelor’s in architecture. It was his master’s that led him to the University of Minnesota, and he has called the Twin Cities home ever since. Malcolm has worked on the Metro Transit light rail station design, Juxtaposition Arts in North Minneapolis, and Keystone Community Services in Saint Paul.
