OPN earns Emerging Professional Friendly Firm distinction from AIA Minnesota & Wisconsin

As a firm committed to mentoring and empowering the next generation of architects to care for each other and our planet through extraordinary design, OPN Architects is honored to have earned the designation of being an Emerging Professional Friendly Firm from a collaboration of American Institute of Architects Chapters in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

The goal of the EP Friendly Firm Award is to celebrate firms who offer exceptional support and opportunities for their early professionals. Additionally, the program seeks to foster a dialogue within firms across the upper Midwest with the objective of creating new policies and practices that promote innovation, development, and progressive workplaces for the future members of the design profession.

An emerging professional (or EP) is an architectural professional who has been working in the architectural profession for 10 years or less as an architectural student intern, recent graduate, unlicensed emerging professional, or recently licensed architect.

The designation recognized our firm’s commitment to actively creating opportunities for emerging professionals to grow, and demonstrating a commitment and innovation to train and mentor emerging professionals. At OPN, young architects work on projects immediately as part of teams that value collaboration. Our culture fosters opportunities for young professionals to learn and grow alongside some of the most experienced and talented designers in the Midwest to create extraordinary design that delights and inspires optimism.
