We have recently welcomed four new team members. These new faces will be filling a variety of roles, including office administrator, architectural intern, and creative strategist.
Patrick Groh, OPN Madison
Where are you originally from? Cedarburg, Wisconsin
Past experience / notable projects? I studied Green Building Design in Frankfurt, Germany; and historically documented an English castle with 3D scanning technology.
What inspires your work? Having the privilege to create something new everyday and the opportunity to better the way we live and inhabit the world through design.

Where are you originally from? Peoria, Illinois
Where did you go to school? Drake University
What inspires your work? A sense of accomplishment and knowing I helped meet someone’s practical need.

Mekena Little, OPN Des Moines
Where are you originally from? I was born in Central Oregon and was raised in the West Des Moines area.
Degree and graduation year? Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, Iowa State University, 2023
Past experience / notable projects? My senior capstone project was creating a family cookbook!
What do you like about your industry? I love the broadness of design as a whole, not just graphic design. It’s really interesting to notice the intersectionality of so many paths within the industry and how they all mesh.
What inspires your work? I find inspiration largely through music and nature. Those seem to be driving forces in how I perceive the world around me, while also understanding how other people do too. When I make a piece of work, I want people to feel some form of emotion.
