Holden Rasmussen

Holden Rasmussen | Digital Enterprise Leader

Holden has been with OPN for more than a decade. As the Digital Enterprise Leader, Holden leads innovation, BIM, and technology at OPN, assisting staff day-to-day while implementing programs for the future. He supports computational designers and technology specialists who are integrated at the project level to develop unique solutions that serve clients while also supporting the firm’s design excellence and building performance goals. He is also part of the team that researches and tests emerging technologies before helping OPN implement and adopt innovative tools that improve our practice.

Alex Streyffeler

Alex Streyffeler, AIA, WELL AP | Construction Administrator

A licensed architect, Alex gained a hands-on appreciation and knowledge of the construction process through his experience in construction administration over the last 10 years at OPN, including more than three years of construction administration for the new 430,000-square-foot, $137 million Ames High School. Alex is passionate about delivering successful projects to his clients that fulfills their goals and visions. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, receiving the AIA School Medal for obtaining the highest GPA in his graduating class.

Nick Culver | IT Manager

Nick is an alumnus of Iowa State University with IT experience ranging from Apple to Iowa State University Computer Services. Over the last eight years, Nick has helped the the firm navigate complicated hardware and systems transitions. Nick is passionate about solving people’s technical problems and helping them feel more comfortable with the technology they use on a daily basis.

Isaac Bracher, AIA

Isaac Bracher, AIA, LEED AP | Senior Project Architect

Isaac’s passion for architecture lies in the privilege of making an impact on people’s lives through the built environment. As a Senior Project Architect, Isaac has led the design of multiple award-winning projects. He delivers complicated projects from pre-design through construction with equal focus on client needs and expectations and staying true to the design intent. Kelly Slota

Kelly Slota | Senior Construction Administrator

Kelly has worked on projects across all market types, including many educational environments. She understands the wear and tear each facility must withstand, bringing insight to each project. She brings a passion for fine points and takes great pride in seeing even the smallest piece of hardware executed as it was intended. Prior to OPN, Kelly was an estimator and project manager in the door, frame, and hardware industry. In that role, Kelly worked with general contractors estimating specifications and offering value engineered alternates, always balancing quality and budget.

Bethanie Zeller

Bethanie Zeller, AIA, LEED AP, WELL AP | Architect 2

Bethanie started with OPN in 2017 in our Cedar Rapids studio, and later began working in our Minneapolis studio in 2022. Her passion for community and people has fueled her design career as she strives to improve lives through the built environment. Inspired by the users of the building, Bethanie mixes thoughtful design and careful execution on all of her projects.

Nick Christensen

Nick Christensen, AIA | Architect 2

Nick is dedicated to seeing a project come to fruition for all of the building stakeholders, especially in construction administration to ensure design is executed exactly as intended, as he feels a responsibility to make every project better than the last. He does this through “living, learning, and growing alongside others with the same goals.” He thrives using creative problem solving, time and again, coming up with the perfect solution for his client’s needs and wants.

Monique Rannow

Monique Rannow | BIM Specialist

A graduate of Kirkwood Community College’s Architectural Technology program, Monique’s professional experience includes KPS Global as an industrial designer and Design Engineers as an HVAC BIM intern. Monique enjoys architecture and its building information models for the blend of technical and creative measures. She is excited by the way technology can further sustainability and green design in the architecture industry. She is inspired by and working towards this being an industry standard, not just a privilege.

Grant Bauermeister

Grant Bauermeister, AIA | Architect 1

Grant joined OPN’s Des Moines studio in 2019, and began working in the Madison studio in 2023. He is passionate about the stories a project’s context tells, and how design can interact with a location’s history, culture, and people. Now a licensed architect, Grant designs with the interest of clients and the building users at the forefront of all decisions. His dedication to having a full project understanding results is cohesive and thoughtful architecture.

Chad Moklestad

Chad Moklestad, AIA | Architect 1

Chad holds degrees from Coe College and Iowa State. As a kid, Chad would spend hours drawing stadiums and skyscrapers- that’s how it all started for him. Now in the industry and a licensed architect, he loves getting to know clients and the rewarding feeling to complete a project by making their design dreams a reality. Working on local projects such as the Des Moines Blank Park Zoo, Chad strives to leave the community a better place than before in everything he does.

Cody Goedken

Cody Goedken, AIA | Architect 1

Cody is a member of the Madison studio after interning with OPN for three summers while getting his degree from Iowa State. With a passion for creativity, and further making that creativity a practical reality, Cody really knew he wanted to be an architect once he started thinking about college. And he chose the right path, because he finds inspiration in the way he can enhance life by creating experiences through spatial design. Now a licensed architect, Cody enhances the spaces we inhabit through design, dialogue, technology, and many other methods.

Carolan Hoffman

Carolan Hoffman | Emerging Professional 2

Carolan joined OPN as a full-time employee in 2021 after interning in 2019 and 2020. Originally from Washington, Iowa, she earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University. Carolan is inspired to practice architecture because of its ability to change in the way that people live and the way the world works. She would like to see design become even more inclusive, not just for people, but for the entire ecosystem. Her work for OPN has shown excitement for new ideas, compassion for others, and the constant pursuit of design excellence.
