Duffy brings unique perspective to K-12 practice

As OPN’s newest K-12 Region Leader, Nick Duffy brings a unique and incredibly valuable perspective to the firm. Having served as an educator and administrator in the Eastern Iowa area for the last 16 years, his background and first-hand experience in education will serve as an invaluable asset as he works with education systems to design spaces where both students and educators can thrive. Nick has a well-rounded perspective and approach to designing K-12 spaces that enables him to uncover hidden potential and identify needs that other key stakeholders might miss. No matter his industry, his work has always centered on people—dreaming, discussing, planning, doing, and delivering. He knows that to achieve the best results, we must see all of the gears in motion.

What inspires your work?  That our only limitation is our own imagination. We have the opportunity to learn continuously and serve our clients by working diligently and creatively to get it right at every phase. What could be more fun or necessary than that?!

Do you have a mantra or saying that you remind yourself of during projects?  People First; Process Second; Passion Always.

“To be smart, healthy, and effective, we must operate like clockwork—every moving part needs to be in sync with the other moving parts, and they work interdependently rather than independently.”
