Inclusive Design of new University of Iowa College of Pharmacy Goes Beyond Code Requirements

Universal Design principles — the design and composition of an environment so that it can be accessed, understood, and used to the greatest extent possible by all people regardless of their age, size, ability, or disability — shaped the design of the new College of Pharmacy at the University of Iowa from the beginning of the planning more than four years ago.

It is the first health sciences facility in the United States that has embraced Universal Design since its inception.
