Three new design professionals join Cedar Rapids, Des Moines studios

OPN welcomes three new talented design professionals — Adam Heier, Tyler Wurr, and Jamie Craine — between its Des Moines and Cedar Rapids studios.

Adam Heier joins OPN as an architectural intern. A Nebraska native, Adam holds a master of architecture (2018) and bachelor of science in design architecture (2012), both from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. As a student, his favorite projects included a concept of what a fire station might look like 50 years in the future and the Nebraska Sandhills Potash Museum. Prior to joining OPN, he interned at Holland Basham Architects and DeOld Andersen Architecture. Currently living in Des Moines, Adam recently finished his second half marathon.

Like Adam, Tyler Wurr enjoys marathons. His mode of transportation, though, has wheels. He took a 1989 Chevy van on a 4,000 mile road trip without a single mechanical issue. Tyler joins OPN with a bachelor of architecture degree from Iowa State University (2018). Prior to graduating, Tyler worked in Denver  at Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. in 2016 and 2017. He is involved with AIA Iowa and USGBC Iowa.

A familiar face at OPN in Cedar Rapids, Jamie Craine returns to the firm full time after two internships in the Cedar Rapids studio. She holds a master of architecture with a certificate in digital fabrication (2018).  Jamie shares Tyler’s wanderlust. She has lived in seven states, most recently in Indiana where she attended Ball State. She flexes her artistic muscles outside the studio as a musician, playing both the saxophone and piano.
