Q: Do you have a mantra or saying that you remind yourself of during projects?

A: Two, actually. The first is – everything happens for a reason. Even during difficult times, it’s important to remember that. The second is simple – get better – whether improving the design, the process, your knowledge, or how you interact with others.

Q:  What’s your favorite landmark and why?

A: Egyptian temples in Luxor. They are amazing feats of design, engineering, art, history, scale and endurance.
