Ian Ford

A Senior Project Architect, Ian has experience working in design-focused architecture offices in Minneapolis, Boston and Chicago. This affords him the benefit of seeing multiple design methodologies and being engaged in a variety of project types ranging from award winning, ground-up buildings to work within existing buildings of great detail and significance. His passions lie with the development of design and coordinating complex buildings. He has led large projects with diverse clients and teams, often with limited budget. Ian’s varied portfolio includes many historic projects, including an adaptive transformation of an 1846 armory storehouse into a community college student center.

A: I thrive on the variety and scale of design problems architects have the opportunity to work on. What we do is complex, and it takes an open, eager, and thoughtful team to execute projects well. I love the feeling you get when the team is working at its best.
