Terry Gebard

A principal at OPN Architects, Terry founded the Des Moines studio in 2002. In his 24 years at the firm, Terry has built strong, long-term relationships with leaders throughout the Des Moines metro area and beyond, shaping OPN’s reputation for strategic vision and exemplary client service. His work includes the design of Beaver Creek Laboratory and Office Facility for DuPont Pioneer, Principal Financial Group’s Corporate Campus, and Krause Gateway Center with the internationally renowned firm Renzo Piano Building Workshop.

A: Architecture is about solving a client’s problems. No two problems are alike, so no two days are alike. Every day is a new and exciting challenge.

A: Working with people. Whether that be with clients with unique building challenges or with internal teams.
